BZ appoints Michelle Titcombe-Rogers as Director, Credit Analysis

9 May 2022

BZ has announced another key appointment, welcoming Michelle Titcombe-Rogers as Director – Credit Analysis. This further signals BZ’s ongoing strategic moves in the ABL market, underpinning the specialist lender’s intent to structure and deliver further large, complex multi-jurisdictional deals and syndicated transactions. BZ offers structured facilities up to a £150m hold level that provide working capital and corporate structuring solutions to mid-market businesses.

Michelle brings 11 years of senior industry experience to the role, with origination, debt structuring and risk skills, honed within asset-based lending (ABL), banking and FinTech markets. Prior to joining the business, Michelle worked at organisations such as BondAval, ABN AMRO, HSBC, Wells Fargo and RBS. Michelle holds an Honours degree in Law.

Commenting on her new appointment, Michelle Titcombe-Rogers said: “This is a great opportunity to join BZ at a very exciting time where I’ll be able to use my skills structuring, negotiating and delivering mid-market debt facilities.”

Michelle continued: “BZ is uniquely equipped to structure complex domestic and cross-border deals that other lenders wouldn’t be able to deliver. Nowadays, a lot of ABLs are constrained by internal policy. This role provides the freedom to be a lot more creative in structuring transactions that work best for the client.

“I have been very fortunate to work on a wide range of transactions in my career, especially gravitating towards the more complex bi-lateral and syndicated/club deals, in both domestic and cross-border scenarios. I spent the early part of my career working on investment grade syndicated facilities and transitioned into ABL 11 years ago where I fell in love with structuring more complex debt facilities across differing capital structures including HYB/Unitranche/2nd lien with an ABL facility. I relish the challenge of structuring a better financing solution for a client and, importantly, delivering that deal within the timescales required.”

Kevin Yates, Managing Director – Risk, BZ, said: “We continue to create a leading team in the ABL industry. BZ is not an ordinary ABL, we have a distinctive offering and having a highly experienced credit specialist working alongside our sales team creates a positive balance that’s right for the client and for us.”

He concluded: “Key appointments such as this serve to strengthen our market position significantly. We are delighted that Michelle has joined us to bring her skills to this pivotal role. We have the appetite and plans to build a significant portfolio and there are only a handful of people that have the skills that Michelle brings to the table. Her experience, energy and fresh thinking are going to make a huge impact on BZ as we continue on our rapid growth trajectory.”
